AHE-100-03S in a Beaver Condessa |
9.5 |
This is my favorite installation. Everything is right out where it can
be worked on easily. You can easily see the lights on the control
panel. The only concern, is placing the control panel on the door.
The owner needs to be cautious about slamming the door.
Fuel filter is in fuel tank bay. |

Aqua-Hot is accessible and cover comes off fast. Bay door opens
sideways, but under slide.
Fuel filter is in bay with generator radiator, under drivers seat. |

Orman Claxton coach. He has upgraded to a Garber fuel filter, moved
the filter to the front so it can be reached (prior location behind the
electronic control panel in the back of this bay) and has installed fuel
shut off valves. He is considering moving the electronic control panel
to the door, like the example above. |

I consider this to be a very
good installation. All of the components are in the bay and it is easy
to service. A little hard to reach the components in the back of this
Hydro-Hot.
Fuel filter is in this bay, top right. |

Aqua-Hot is behind this door on the right side. Click on photo to see
what it looks like inside. Pretty easy to work on except that you have
to hang the control panel out of the way. See 2nd photo to see how I
do it. Fuel filter is in the fuel tank bay on passenger side. |

Easy to work on once you get the front panel off.
To remove cover you have to remove gas shock and bracket and
overflow bottle, from left side, then manipulate the cover up until it can
be removed. The later versions of this had hinge on cover making it
much easier to remove.
On this coach fuel filter is in the fuel tank bay, but some coaches like
this have the filter in the back of the Hydro-Hot bay. |

The Aqua-Hot is in a compartment under the slide. The Aqua-Hot has a cover
on it that you need to remove prior to service. You have to either put
the slide in or reach through the slide compartment to service the unit. |

After
modification by cutting and hinging part of the case, access was pretty
good. Can't read hour meter as it is in the back behind a panel.
Fuel filter is in this bay in back. Hard to reach! |

Has 4 piece panel covering up the
Aqua-Hot. The twenty screws that hold the panel in place have VERY
un-standard head on them. Close to #25 torx, but not exactly.
Used 1/8" square drive driver to get screws out. Took 1/2 hour to get
cover off and on.
Fuel filter is in this bay, behind wires and hoses. Very hard to
reach.
Pretty standard inside after decorative cover off.

This installation is pretty representative of most Foretravel coaches in the
1995-2002 years. In this example you can push the Joey bed out the
other side to give quite a bit of room to work on the Aqua-Hot. The
Aqua-Hot is in the middle of the coach. You cannot see the lower "J"
bolt on the Webasto burner. You have to remove it (and reinstall it)
entirely by feel.
Some of the earlier Foretravels, the Joey bed does not push through.
Each side pulls out, so you have to crawl through the Joey bed into to the
center... fun!
Fuel filter is in the front drivers side bay in the generator radiator
bay (under the drivers seat).
These photos are of the Aqua-Hot that is in my coach. |

This installation is pretty representative of most Monaco coaches of this
era. The Joey bed will pull out the other side allowing you to work
over the bed rails (fun). There is not enough head room in the bay.
The components on the top of the Aqua-Hot are VERY hard to reach. Lots
of stuff in the way. Cover very hard to get back on.
There is additional photo showing where the Aqua-Hot is located looking
through the water pump bay. Fuel filter is in the fuel tank bay, passenger
side up high on the left side. |

Overflow bottle is on stand in front of Hydro-Hot. Stand has to be
removed to be able to get case off Hydro-Hot. Good location for filter |

The wooden panel with the overflow bottle and electronic control panel has
to be completely removed to access the cover for the Hydro-Hot (this one is
a 450 DE). There is not enough room to reach under it.
Click on photo to see larger photo and how I was able to access the unit. |

HHE-200-06E. The Hydro-Hot is in utility bay behind
door. Control panel has to be removed and tie wrapped out of the way.
The overflow bottle was pop riveted to the cover, There was enough
room to place the cover off to the left to access the unit.
There is no way to access the components on the backside of the Hydro-Hot
(backs up to holding tank) without partially removing the unit from the
coach!
Fuel filter is in front bay, drivers side near fuel tank. |

Everything is in the way. All of this stuff has to be moved prior to
accessing the Aqua-Hot.
The cord reel, vacuum, control panel, overflow bottle and panel have to be
removed before you can get the cover off the Hydro-Hot. Takes
(minimum) 1/2 hour to remove, then 1/2 hour to reinstall components.
